A 62-year-old tourist from India’s state Gujarat died of suspected heart attack at SMHS in summer capital Srinagar on Wednesday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that one tourist identified Rashid Mansuri (62) son of Abdul Gani Mansuri, a resident of Gujarat fell ill at Tangmarg from where he was immediately shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.

Mansuri, after being brought to SMHS for treatment, died at the facility, they said.

However, the body of the deceased will be handed over to his family members for last rites after the completion of medico-legal formalities. (KDC)
