A 7-year-old girl died after reportedly getting strangulated in the rope during playing on a swing at her maternal home in Madwan area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The girl hails from Hajin area and was presently at her maternal home in Madwan, reported a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT).
Unidentified locals identified the deceased as Shabnam Amin daughter of Muhammad Amin Bhat, a resident of Hajin Sonawari.
“While playing swing at her maternal house, her neck caught in a loop of the rope. She died on the spot,” an unidentified local told the agency, adding that she was buried at her ancestral graveyard in Hajin. (KNT)
