Government forces on Tuesday evening launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Wani Mohalla and Lala Mohallah- Yarikhah Village in Center Kashmir district Budgam.
A local news gathering agency Kashmir Dotcom (KDC) reported that a joint team of the army’s 53RR, SOG cordoned off Wani Mohalla and Lala Mohallah Yarikhah village and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the government forces.
A police officer told that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in. (KDC)
