A 60-year-old man slipped to death from a glacier in Behak Saalnay area of Wanghat in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday.

An official told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the man identified as Mohammad Aslam Khatana of Wangath slipped to death while he was walking on glacier.

He said soon after the incident, locals and police rushed to the spot and retrieved his body.

The official added that his body was later brought to his home for last rites. (KNO)
