Driver of a vehicle was killed, while eight other passengers were injured after a vehicle, they were traveling in rolled down into a deep gorge near in Karnah area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday, official sources said.
They said the vehicle was on its way to Tanghdar from Gabra when it skidded off the road near Niti top, resulting in on spot death to its driver and injuries to 8 other passengers. The deceased has been identified as Intaqhab Ahmad son of Mohammad Seyab.
A police official confirmed the incident to KDC and said all the injured persons were immediately shifted to nearby hospital where the condition of persons are stated to be “stable’. A case is also being registered in this regard and further investigation is on, he added. (KDC)
