Rescue operation entered second day on Monday to locate the two youth who drowned while bathing in river Chenab in Maitra area of Ramban district on Sunday, officials said.
“Search and rescue operation resumed again to trace the youth who drowned yesterday afternoon in River Chenab,” SHO Ramban said.
He said that two teenage boys, who had gone for a bath in river Chenab near Julla Bridge in Ramban town were swept away by the strong water currents.
The youth have been identified as Nistish Kumar son of Kishore Lal, a resident of Diyar Gali and Ravinder Singh son of Suram Singh, a resident of Chakka Kukdi tehsil Rajgrah. (KNO)
