CRPF personnel injured in Ganderbal grenade attack succumbs

Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper, who was injured in a grenade attack on 24 December at Ganderbal district succumbed to his injuries at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, unnamed officials told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

CRPF spokesman Pankaj Singh said that Assistant Police Sub-Inspector (ASI) Netrapal Singh, who was injured in a grenade attack at Ganderbal on 24 December, breathed his last at SKIMS, Soura. Singh was aged forty-nine and was part of 115 bn CRPF G-Coy.

The body of the CRPF man will be dispatched to his native state after wreath laying ceremony to be held at RTC Humhama. (KNO)
