A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) inspector was critically injured after he allegedly shot himself with his service rifle at Shergadi in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Wednesday morning.

An unnamed police officer told a local news agency Global News Service (GNS) that the CRPF inspector from 141 Battalion shot himself with his service rifle due to which he was grievously wounded.

Identifying him as inspector M. Damodar, the officer said that he was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment. He further added that the investigations have been started in this case for more details. (GNS)
