Of 22,81,840 vaccines doses received so far, Jammu and Kashmir has consumed 21,83,396 doses.

As per the data available with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) , Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has a stock of 98,444 vaccines available and 2 lakh vaccines are in pipeline.

Jammu and Kashmir with a population of 1,33,65,000 has consumed 21,83,396 vaccines which includes 2.58 percent wastage.

Ladshadweep has the highest wastage percentage of 9.76 followed by Tamil Nadu, Assam, Manipur, Haryana, Dadra and Nagar, Punjab, Bihar, Rajasthan, Nagaland and Meghalaya.

Government of India has so far provided more than 15 crore vaccine to States/UTs free of cost.

Pertinently, as per the data available, the government of India has so far provided more than 15 crore vaccine doses (15,65,26,140) to States/UTs free of cost. Of this, the total consumption including wastages is 14,64,78,983 doses.

More than one crore doses (1,00,47,157) are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, besides that more than 80 lakh (86,40,000) doses will be received in addition by the States/UTs in the next 3 days.

Notably, the vaccination drive for all above 18 years of age is set to start across India from May 01—(KNO)
