Srinagar: A 65-year-old resident of the city, who was in New Delhi following his treatment in Amritsar, has died due to COVID-19 on Monday.

Family members of the deceased told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the man who had gone for medical check up to Amritsar was tested positive yesterday. The family members of the man said that after undergoing medical examination at Amritsar, he reached Delhi to return home, where he complained chest pain.

“He went to the hospital where he was declared positive,” the family said, adding that their beloved has died at Narendra Mohan Hospital in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. (KNO)
