Srinagar: One more person died due to COVID-19 infection at Chest and Disease Hospital in Srinagar.

The deceased patient was the father of the young man from Hawal, Srinagar, who had also died of COVID-19 at Shri Maharaja Hari Singh Hospital a couple of days ago.

Medical Superintendent, Chest and Disease Hospital, Dr. Saleem Tak told that an elderly patient died of COVID-19 infection in the hospital today.

He added that he died of pancreatic cancer. “The patient was in the 4th stage of cancer,” he said.

His son had died of cytokine storm — an immune system response wherein the body starts to attack its own cells and tissues, rather than just fighting off the virus. (KNT)
