India on Thursday has recorded 4,14,188 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the toll to 21,491,598 in the last 24 hours.
As per the Union Health Ministry, India reported 3,918 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the fatality count to 2,34,083. The active cases in the country are 36,45,164 and the total recoveries are 1,76,12,351.
Daily fatality count has now stayed above 3,000 for ten days in a row. India accounted for 46% of global cases and 25% of global deaths reported in the past week, the World Health Organization said on Wednesday, reported NDTV.
So far, the pandemic has claimed over 3.2 million lives worldwide with 156,672,849 infected cases.
