India recorded 3,921 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the fatality count to 374,305.
The country recorded 70,421 new coronavirus infections in a single day, pushing the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 2,95,10,410, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday.
The active number of Covid-19 cases in the country is over 9,73,158 while 2,81,62,947 people have recovered from the virus so far.
So far, the world has reported 176,724,272 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic broke with 3,819,654 deaths. The US remains the worst-hit country, followed by India, Brazil, France and Turkey.
