Srinagar: Sixteen people tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the tally in Jammu and Kashmir to 741. Among the total, 678 are from Kashmir and sixty-three are from Jammu.

The Department of Information and Publica Relations (DIPR), Jammu and Kashmir, stated that 404 patients from Kashmir are active cases while only nine from Jammu are active positive.

Among the sixteen new positive cases, six are from Shopian, four from Srinagar, two from Bandipora, and one each from Anantnag and Baramulla. One case was reported from Udhampur, Jammu division.

So far, 320 people have recovered from the infection in J-K while eight have died — among them, seven are from Kashmir.
