A policeman was critically injured when fired upon by militants near his residence at Saidapora Eidgah area of Srinagar on Thursday evening, officials said.
A police official told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that the policeman, Javaid Ahmad Tambi of Saidpora, was critically injured and taken to SKIMS Soura.
His condition is stated to be very critical, he said. More details awaited. (GNS)
