A religious scholar lost his life while as three others were injured in a road accident in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Friday.
An official said that an accident took place at Padabal Kangan in which Alto car collided with Grand i10 resulting in injuries to four persons.
He said that all four were shifted to nearby hospital from where one person namely Qaisar Ahmad was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.
Three others are undergoing treatment and their condition is said to be stable, he said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation.
Notably, Qaisar was a religious scholar who was associated with Idara Tehqiqat Islami Anantnag and as per reports was returning home after delivering Friday sermon in the area. (KS)
