A youth got injured on Saturday after he was fired upon by the unknown persons at Paloura area of the Jammu City.
Unnamed fficials told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an injured youth was identified as Happy Jamwal of Jammu. He was injured in an incident of firing at Paloura Chowk and has been hospitalised where he is undergoing treatment, they said.
Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station while Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Jammu police has been constituted to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the relatives and family members of injured youth staged a protest outside Janipur Police Station.
They demanded stern action against the accused involved in the incident of firing. KNO)
