The Anti-Corruption Branch of CBI Srinagar today carried out searches in the office of Regional Transport Office followings some complaints, sources said here.
Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the anti-corruption branch of the CBI Srinagar is carried out raid in the office of Regional Transport Office Srinagar following complaints of wrongdoings by the officials of RTO Kashmir in registration of fresh and re-registration of different types of vehicles from outside state.
They said that incriminating documents and other related documents were seized by the CBI teams.
They added that the nexus between touts and officials involved in this large scale fraud was going on for the last many years and many arrests are expected in the coming days.
While confirming the raid, RTO Kashmir said that the raid was conducted by the ACB Srinagar today in the early hours and some documents were seized by them.
He added that RTO officials were also assisting these teams. (KNS)
