Burglars struck into Gurudwara in Nowpora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and decamped with cash from the donation box.

The Gurudwara is located in the main market of ward number 1 of Nowpora Bandipora.

Unnamed sources told a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that burglars entered into Gurudwara and broke the iron chest filled with cash. They said burglars looted all the unaccounted cash from the donation box and fled away from the spot.

Local sources said that police was informed about the incident after authorities at Gurdwara found the lock at the entrance broken.

Soon after being informed, a police team from Bandipora Police Station along with FSL team reached the spot. Police in this regard registered a case vide FIR number 22/2021 under section 457,380 IPC and set investigation into motion. (KNT)
