A carpenter died after falling down from the rooftop of a ‘Jamia Masjid’ in Watarhal village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Tuesday.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Hafizullah Khan son of Muhammad Yousuf, a resident of Zagoo Khan Mohalla was busy in his work on the rooftop of the Jamia Masjid when he slipped and sustained grievous injuries.

The victim was shifted to Primary Health Centre Watarhal where doctors referred him to SMHS hospital Srinagar. In Srinagar hospital, the carpenter succumbed to his injuries.

Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law. (KNT)
