Another tourist from Kolkata who was injured in a road accident in Bijbehara area of Anantnag on Tuesday has succumbed, taking toll to two.

An official said that an accident took place near Arwani crossing along national highway in Bijbehara in which one tourist vehicle was hit by a truck.

In the incident one woman namely Karuma Sardar, 35, resident of Kolkata died on spot while four others injured in the incident were referred to GMC Anantnag.

However, one of the injured identified as Radha from Kolkata succumbed in the hospital, an official said.

Three other injured have been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment, he added.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation. (KS)
