Police has booked a butcher alleged of selling meat at exorbitant rates at Kunzer Tangmarg area of this north-Kashmir district.

A police official told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) that on receipt of a complaint against the accused butcher at Chichlora area of Kunzer, a police team visited the spot to ascertain the claims.

“It was found that the accused was selling the meat at 600/kg rupees, which is more than the rates fixed by the government”, the official said.

“The accused was arrested on the spot and subsequently an FIR number 25/2021 under section 3/7 of EC Act registered against him”, the official added. (GNS)
