On the occasion of Ashura, the Ehsaas Trust International distributed fresh packed fruits among patients and the hospital catering staff in Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Srinagar.
The initiative which commemorates with the martyrdom of Imam Hussain is aimed at spreading the message of unity among Muslims and to bridges the gap of sectarian divide, said Moulana Shoiab Shah, a social activist.
He said the hospital administration, patients and their attendants appreciated the act.
General Secretary Ehsaas Trust International, Hakim Mohammad Ilyas, expressed gratitude to Director SKIMS, Prof AG Ahangar and the hospital administration for support.
“We believe in working collectively to aid humanity and serve the purpose of our existence,” Hakim said.
