A personnel of army’s Defence Service Corps (DSC) was found lying dead under mysterious conditions inside the army camp on Saturday.
Unnamed police officials told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a DSC personnel, who retired from regular army a few years ago and got re-recruited in army’s DSC and was presently posted in an army camp of Mendhar.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Bashir, son of Mohammad Hussain, a native of Salani village of Mendhar. Mr. Bashir was found lying dead in his camp with bullet marks on his body after which police have started an investigation into the matter, reported KNO.
“Autopsy was conducted in Mendhar SDH by board of doctors and investigation into the matter has been started under Mendhar police station,” said officials. (KNO)
