Srinagar: An army personnel died while another was injured after a truck hit them near Fruit Mandi Parimpora area of Srinagar city.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir NewsTrust that a speeding truck hit two army personnel who were part of a Road Opening Party.
The truck driver after the incident didn’t stop and fled away from the spot.
Sources added that one of the army personnel identified as Constable Sanjay Kumar died on the spot while another personnel Rafiq Ahmed has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police sources said that both the army personnel are affiliated with Territorial Army.
Police have registered a case in this regard. (KNT)
