An army man was killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and government forces in Bhata Dhurian village near Bhimber Gali area of Poonch.
The area where the gunfight broke out is part of a forest pocket that runs through Dehra Ki Gali where a gunfight started on Monday morning in which five army men lost their lives.
Officials told a local news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in Bhata Dhurian village of Poonch, located near Bhimber Gali army installation, operation was launched on Thursday morning and teams of army and police were conducting intensive searches in the area when the gunfight broke out in which one army man was killed.
They further stated that there are also reports about the injuries to a few other army men. However, there was no confirmation in this regard.
The authorities on the other hand have stopped vehicular traffic on Jammu-Poonch NHW near BG in Mendhar—(KNO)
