iPhone maker Apple is reportedly planning to discontinue some of its older generation phones. As per reports Apple is planning to discontinue some models after introduction of new iPhone 15 series later this year.

Every year, Apple drops some older models to make way for the new phones. Apple is likely to launch four news models under the iPhone 15 series – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year.

As per a tech review site report iPhone 12 along with iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 mini may be discontinued after the launch of iPhone 15 series.

As per a Tom’s Guide report Apple will surely discontinue iPhone 12 as it rarely continue any iPhone for over three years. iPhone 12 was launched in October 2020. iPhone 13 mini is also likely to be discontinued. The mini series of iPhone has not been very popular among the iPhone enthusiasts.

Apple currently sells eight different iPhone models — four that came out last fall with the iPhone 14 release, plus another 2022 model in the form of the iPhone SE. The iPhone 13 models came out in 2021, while the iPhone 12 will be celebrating its third birthday in the fall.

Apple usually drops its Pro models after one year of sales. The same is likely to happen with iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max as well. The duo may be discontinued after the launch of iPhone 15 series.

However, the buyers may still get the options of buying these discontinued phone for sometime as several online and offline retailers keep selling the phone till the stock lasts. The Phones are also often offered at a deep discounts. (Agencies)
