Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday said that Ansaar Gazwatul Hind chief has been killed in the ongoing gunfight in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that AGuH chief Imtiyaz Shah has been killed in Tral gunfight. In a tweet, IGP congratulated police and government forces for successful operation.

Search operation going on, the tweet read. Earlier, one militant was killed in Tral gunfight that broke out early morning. Tral gunfight is second in the past 24 hours as in Jan Mohalla area of Shopian gunfight is underway since yesterday evening.

In Shopian gunfight, three militants have been killed while two others are believed to be trapped. (KNO)
