A youth was on Wednesday injured after he was stabbed by unknown persons at Akad area of Mattan in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Sources said that a group of miscreants first thrashed a youth identified as Sameer Ahmad Magray, son of Abdul Rashid Magray, a resident of Hardu Akad and later stabbed him with a knife.

“The injured person was rushed to SDH Seer for treatment where doctors referred him to GMC Anantnag for further treatment,” they said.

The condition of the victim was not known immediately.

Pertinently, a similar incident was reported in the area wherein a youth was injured after being stabbed by his friend. (KNO)
