Gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Khandipora area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
In a tweet, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, ”Encounter started at Khandipora, Awantipora area of Pulwama district. Awantipora Police & Army (55 RR) are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
Pertinently, another gunfight is underway in Simthan area of Bijbhera in Anantnag district. (GNS)
