A genome sequencing of 109 samples at Lucknow’s KGMU hospital has returned 107 confirmed samples of highly infections Delta variant, and also carried two samples of the Kappa variant, NDTV reported.
Even as the virulent second wave of infections seems to be ebbing, state governments are worried as variants like Delta, Alpha, and Kappa are said to be more transmissible.
