Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Boniyar here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district has issued an order asking lawyers not to address him as ‘your lordship’ or ‘your honor’ but simply say ‘Sir’ while addressing him in the court of law.

The Judge as per news agency KNT while describing the words like ‘your lordship’ ‘my lord’ or ‘your honor’ of divine nature said these words belong to ‘Lord’ (Almighty Allah) only.

“It is hereby for the information of all lawyers that they may not address me as, “Your Lordship”, “My Lord” or “Your Honor”, as such words are of divine nature and belong to the Lord only. This order may be strictly followed,” reads the order issued by Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Boniyar Shahber Ayaz. (KNT)
