In what came as a brief breath of fresh air after nearly seven months, 4G internet of a private company fell open to users on Sunday mid night in Jammu and Kashmir.

A series of texts over Whatsapp sprang users in delight and many more followed as this particular development was set in circulation promptly.
The group of users drawing maximum benefit from this has been the students, given that this is the time for their examinations.

Considering that this development happened during mid night, no mobile company has come out with a statement yet, nor has the administration made any remark regarding this.

The joy of users however saw an early end as the company snapped the high speed internet by early morning.

Internet service was shut down following the government of India’s 5 August decision last year when it announced to repeal the special status of the erstwhile northern state of Jammu and Kashmir granted under Article 370 of the Constitution.
It was only after the situation inched to normalcy that basic internet services with 2G was released to first in Jammu and later in Kashmir. During this time, Virtual Private Network (VPN) was extensively in use.

VPN service, too, was banned after its extensive use went to the point of misuse.
