Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday reported 105 fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the tally of cases in J-K to 126,693 while no death related to COVID-19 was reported in the last twenty-four hours.
Of the exact number of 126,693 cases, 74,662 are from Kashmir and 52,031 from Jammu division.
Officials told a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 105 new cases, 87 belong to Kashmir division while 17 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached 74,662 including 72,743 recoveries and 1,233 deaths while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 52,032 including 51,117 recoveries and 725 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in J-K are 875 including 686 from Kashmir division and 189 from Jammu division.
With 49 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J-K has reached 123,860 which is 97.75 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J-K include 53 from Srinagar, 12 from Baramulla, 05 from Budgam, 03 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 07 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 01 from Ganderbal, 03 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 17 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 02 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 02 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
As per officials figures, 27,138 positive cases including 461 deaths and 26,282 recoveries are from Srinagar, 8,284 including 175 deaths and 8,026 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,897 including 7,741 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Budgam, 5,872 including 5,738 recoveries and 90 deaths are from Pulwama, 5,691 including 97 deaths and 5,581 recoveries are from Kupwara, 5,040 including 4,908 recoveries and 87 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,719 cases including 4,638 and 62 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,673 including 4,613 recoveries and 47 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,739 including 2,662 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,609 including 2,554 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 25,256 including 24,774 recoveries and 373 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,316 including 4,202 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,876 including 3,821 recoveries and 55 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,438 including 3,372 recoveries and 64 deaths are from Doda, 3,263 including 3,204 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kathua, 2,841 including 2,794 recoveries and 40 deaths are from Samba, 2,738 including 2,712 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,520 including 2,494 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Poonch, 2,135 including 2,114 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,646 including 1,630 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 1,333,582 persons in J-K are under observation while 33,838 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 875 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 1,187,743 persons have completed the surveillance period and 110,168 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 5,281,141 samples are available.
Out of 5,281,141, the number of samples tested negative stands at 5,154,448 while 126,693 have tested positive, among them 875 persons are active, 123,860 persons have recovered and 1,958 persons have died. (KNO)
