Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that a major tragedy was averted after 15 kilograms of IED, planted by militants in village Armullah, Litter area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, was recovered.

“PulwamaPolice & SFs averted a major tragedy by recovering 15Kg IED planted by #terrorists in village Armullah, Litter,” tweeted Kashmir Zone Police, quoting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar.

He further said that two Over Ground Workers (OGW) involved in the incident have been arrested.

The case has been registered and the investigation is on.
