12 tourists among 13 injured in Kulgam road accident

Around a dozen tourists and a driver were injured in a road accident in Khudwani area of south Kashmir Kulgam district on Saturday.

An official said that one Matadoor Tata LP B/R No. JK21B-0916 driven by Reshi Kumar son of Badri Nath resident of Doda carrying 12 domestic tourists turned turtle near Khudwani Kulgam bypass.

In the incident, driver and  11 tourists were injured who have been shifted to hospital for treatment, he said.

Injured tourists have been identified as Areda (09), Neelam (03), Shahea (42), Pinki (34), Nana Saib (62) years, Harshit Atel (40), Manjolae (38), Damander (68), Rohri (31), Kondi Dhumar (60), 11. Bakti (09) and Malhaa Maryesh (07), all residents of Pune.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and started investigation. (KS)
