Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik, who was recently sentenced to life imprisonment in a terror funding case, has urged for physical appearance in court and examining witnesses in Rubaiya Sayeed abduction case, quoting officials Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

Rubaiya, the daughter of then Union Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Saeed was kidnapped by JKLF on 8 December 1989.

Malik is an accused in the Rubaiya’s kidnapping case. In May 2022, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in J-K had issued summons to Rubaiya to appear before it on 15 July 2022.
