A 34-year-old woman died after slipping into a well in Cherkote area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
Quoting official sources, a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS), reported that Tasleema Begum, wife of Mohammad Ramzan Peer, resident of Nadpora village Cherkote slipped and fell into the well this morning, adding, she was rescued and taken to SDH Kupwara where the doctors declared her as brought dead on arrival.
Confirming the death of the woman a police official said though as per initial reports she slipped into the well resulting in her demise. However, we are still ascertaining how she actually fell into the well. (GNS)
