An unidentified body was found in Tengan Nowgam area of central Kashmir in Srinagar district on Wednesday morning, officials said.
An official said that some passersby informed the police about the body lying in a Nowgam area. Soon,a police party reached to the spot and recovered the body.
The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained.
The body has been shifted to mortuary at SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
“After completing medico-legal formalities and confirming the identification, the body would be handed over to his legal heirs,” an official said. (KS)
