An unidentified male body was found at forest land near Government Higher Secondary School in Arwani village of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, officials said.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that some locals spotted the body and immediately informed the police about it.
“Soon a police team reached the spot and recovered the semi decomposed body,” they said, adding that the body was taken to GMC Anantnag for medical formalities.
“Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the deceased,” he said—(KNO)
