At least two persons were killed while another has sustained serious injuries in a shootout incident in the outskirts of Jammu City on Friday. However, police has started investigation into the matter to ascertain the facts.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Friday morning, an incident of shootout took place in a village of RS Pura Sub Division of Jammu.
“It is being suspected that a few men travelling in a vehicle opened indiscriminate firing on some persons travelling in another car,” said police officials, adding that two men—both young have died in the incident while another has sustained injuries and is under treatment in a hospital in critical condition.
“One Thar vehicle, some sharp edged weapons and some wooden pieces like hockey have been seized from the spot,” they said, adding that a high level probe is going on into the matter—(KNO)
