Two houses and few other structures were damaged in a mid night blaze in Hajin area of north Kashmir Bandipora district.
An official said that a fire broke out in a residential house in Haritar Kaneyari area of Hajin and in no time it engulfed other nearby structures.
He said that fire tenders were called in following which fire was doused off, however, two houses, cowshed and kitchen were damaged in the incident.
Besides that two goats were charred to death as well, he said, adding that damaged structures belong to Noori Begum wife of Ab Sallam Malla and Habibullah Kolu son of Mohammad Ramzan Kolu resident of Haritar Kaneyari.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance and started investigation. (KS)
