Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel succumbed to their injuries after militants attacked a joint forces party in Kreeri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla, reported a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS). Earlier, a Special Police Officer was shot dead in the attack.

An unnamed senior police officer told GNS that militants fired upon a checkpoint party. The fire was retaliated by forces triggering a brief exchange of firing.

The officer further said that there are chances of a gunfight as the militants have been surrounded by forces. This is a breaking story, more details to follow. (GNS)
