Following the death of Kashmir’s most prominant resistance leader Syed Ali Geelani, train service in Kashmir remained suspended for the third day on Saturday.
According to an official, the administration has issued a new directive, instructing police not to restore train service in Kashmir on Saturday as well.
As a result, he stated, no train will run between Baramulla in north Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu.
As a “precautionary measure”, train service was suspended on Thursday following the death of Geelani.
