The government forces arrested three persons it said were militants, and claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from their possession in Rajouri district, reported a local news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Quoting unidentified official sources, the agency reported that an operation was launched in an area near Rajouri town in the intervening night of September 18 and 19 after which the forces nabbed three suspects, all from Kashmir valley.
Another local news agency, Global News Service quoted an unidentified police officer stating that an operation was launched by police and government forces at Gurjan Bala Rajouri in which three militants, Rahil Bashir alias “Ayaan Bhai” of Pulwama, Amir Jaan alias “Hamza” of Kakapora Pulwama and Hafiz Yunus Wani alias “Zubair” of Shopian, were apprehended with a large cache of arms and ammunition.
“More details can be shared later as senior police officers are themselves visiting the district and shall brief the media,” they said. (Agencies)
