A windstorm swept across several districts of Kashmir valley and damaged houses on Friday afternoon while a hailstorm had hit parts of north Kashmir.
The storm had hit districts of Pulwama and Kulgam in south Kashmir and Budgam and parts of Srinagar in central Kashmir.
As per several videos uploaded by locals on the internet, the strong winds had damaged houses in several parts of the region.
The storm Friday afternoon had come after several days of intense heat. Srinagar had recorded temperatures as high as 34.7 degrees Celsius during this week.
Meanwhile, parts of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district witnessed hailstorms that caused damage to crops and trees.
