Srinagar: Twelve-year-old boy, who was injured yesterday during the house collapse at Nawa Kadal gunfight site in Srinagar, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

Officials were quoted by a local news gathering agency saying that a boy identified as Basim Aijaz son of Aijaz Ahmad of Chota Bazar Karan Nagar was injured along with three others at the gunfight site on late Tuesday when a house collapsed.

They said that the injured youth, who is class 7 students and was undergoing treatment at the SMHS hospital here succumbed to his injuries.

Two militants were killed in the gunfight and over 15 houses were damaged during the operation. In the aftermath of the gunfight, people visited to the spot, helping firefighters to douse the flames.
