A football coach from Srinagar’s Batmaloo area was arrested on charges of sodomizing a minor boy, the police said on Tuesday.
The accused namely Amir Ahed Khan, who has been identified by the police as a football coach by profession, is a resident of Lachmanpora, Batmaloo.
“[He was] arrested for committing unnatural sexual offence on a 13 year old boy (name withheld),” the police said.
The accused had also threatened the minor boy, they said.
They further added: “FIR No: 178/2022 U/S 377, 506 of IPC registered [has been] in Batmaloo PS.”
