Thirty-four travelers were among73 fresh covid-19 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir while two more persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Sunday.

Among the fresh cases, 15 were reported from Jammu Division and 58 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 125341, the officials told.

Providing district-wise breakup, they said, Srinagar reported 37 cases, Baramulla 2, Budgam 4, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 7, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 14, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Regarding the fresh deaths, they said, one each was reported from Jammu Division and Kashmir Valley respectively. Regarding the death from Valley, they said, the victim was a 58-year-old man from Ellahibagh Soura Srinagar while the one from Jammu belonged to the winter capital of the J-K.

Moreover, they said, 65 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—16 from Jammu Division and 49 from Kashmir. (GNS)
