Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Wednesday said that the police have identified two militants involved in the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian and they will be nabbed soon.
The J-K Police Chief said this on the sidelines of the wrath laying ceremony of ITBP men. He said the police have identified both the militants who attacked two brothers belonging to the minority community; one of them died and the other one is injured and is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
“While we have identified both the militants involved in the killing very soon strict action will be taken against them while investigation is underway,” the DGP said.
While targeting the neighbouring country, he said that, “on 15 August, they could not bear the celebration of people here and that is why they are trying to disturb the peace here”.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir administration initiated the process of attaching the house of a militant who killed a Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian, while his father and three brothers were arrested for sheltering him. (KNS)
